Sermon in a keychain
I don't know about you, but it doesn't come second nature to walk in Christ identity. It is a constant, consistent pressing into His Presence to hear Him remind me, who I am and how He values my worth.
Maybe you've been there too; whether it was cycling abuse, broken vows, shattered dreams or the never-ending cyclone of life-it can cause you to settle in the land of striving, good enough and acceptance of less than what God has stored up for you.
But here's the Truth; when you became God's child, you came into Royalty.
Your Father owns the cattle on a thousand hills, the wealth in every mine-and when Jesus shed His precious Blood, giving His life on a cruel Cross, what He owns became your inheritance; you were adopted into His Kingdom! As God's son and daughter, you are a Prince, a Princess.
As I have been learning lately at my Father's Feet, "We do not beg and plead, but with the authority of Jesus Christ, govern and lead" [source: Kelly Marie]
So, pick up your head, straighten your crown, adjust your armor and walk in Godfidence! The God of the universe holds you!
Cute story: I needed a quick-release keychain to keep both the car running and lock up the house, so we ran up to Wal-Mart. I had planned on those cheap metal clamp ones and just as I picked it up and turned to go, I heard the Holy Spirit whisper, "Look up."
I had nearly missed the only nice one left; a classy set with golden dangles for my sensory kids, better than I imagined, so totally me-all because I had been set on settling for "good enough" - God had better.
What is He trying to give you, that you feel unworthy or undeserving of? It truly is the little things that teach us to open our hands and receive from our good, good Father
