Hollywood has a massive bank of sound effects. The howling wolf sound of AIRWOLF originated as a sound effect of a happy, baby elephant blowing air out of its trunk, as it played in a river, in a Johny Quest episode, around 1967. This sound effect was later used by George Lucas in Star Wars Episode IV, in 1977, as Obi Wan Kenobi, impersonating a Krayt Dragon, to scare off the Sand People, to save Luke. https://youtu.be/K--RVLNa3E8
