View MoreHebrews 13:8 (MEV) Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever. If you happen to not be born again, are you really going to trade 90 some-odd years of physical enjoyment for millions upon millions of years of constant suffering? Why would you do that or even consider it? Matthew 7:13-14 (MEV) “Enter at the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who are going through it, because small is the gate and narrow is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.[…]” How come is it that many hold on to tradition or religion and feel like there's a need to "constantly confess sins" or "keep a tally" when The Word says otherwise? In 1 John 1:9 it says that if those born again acknowledge the fact that he or she is a sinner and ask forgiveness...done deal...past, present and future. Part of being born again is to get rid of your sin problem. For those who feel this need to "constantly confess sins" or "keep a tally", there are some questions worth asking: 1) Why insult Jesus that way? 2) Shouldn't the cross be plenty since human performance does absolutely nothing to get rid of sin? 3) Let's say you're all caught up on your "tally". What if you spaced one out from 1995 and then were suddenly and fatally hit by a bus despite your being born again in 1962? Forever doomed? Mark 1:15 (MEV) “[…]saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the gospel.” John 14:6 (MEV) Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.[…]” John 19:30 (MEV) When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished.” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit. Colossians 2:13 (MEV) And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has resurrected together with Him, having forgiven you all sins. Hebrews 10:10-12 (MEV) By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
