On as a substitute, Gabriel Martinelli was also a standout performer, nearly scoring a Puskas Award contender but couldn't apply the finishing touches to an otherwise incredible move.
Brazil now looks forward to a performance in Qatar, where the South American side will be considered one of the top title favorites. Tonight, when it didn't have its best stuff for all 90 minutes, shows exactly why, as it takes a perfect performance to put them under pre sure, and the night was far from perfect for Bolivia.

75th min: CHANCE, Brazil!GABRIEL MARTINELLI STOP IT. The Arsenal man nearly scores the goal of the year with an incredible Cruyff Turn in the box to get around two defenders and put himself free on goal but his eventually his shot is inches wide. The world would have heard if that goal went in.
Martinelli has been the best player on the pitch since coming in, and the only person on the planet who isn't sad that goal didn't come off is Quinteros, who has a family to go back to.
