HOW TO MAKE HOMEMADE CHICKEN SOUP

INGREDIENTS FOR HOMEMADE CHICKEN SOUP:
1 (3 lb.) whole chicken
4 carrots, halved
4 celery stalks, halved
1 large onion, halved
Water to cover
Salt and pepper to taste
1 teaspoon chicken granules (optional)

DIRECTIONS:

STEP 1. Place the chicken, carrots, celery and onion in a large pot and rinse with cold water. Simmer, uncovered, until the chicken is boneless (smear occasionally).

STEP 2. Remove everything from the pot. Pour the soup. Separate the meat from the bones and chop the carrot, celery and onion. Season the broth with salt, pepper and chicken broth. Return the chicken, carrots, celery and onion to the pot, stir and serve.
