✅WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IN YOUR LIFE? Before Paul was called by the risen and ascended Lord Jesus Christ that day on the Damascus road, Paul was a high ranking religious expert on all things that had to do with Israel. ?Ac 26:4 My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;?Ac 26:5 Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee. Paul, was trained by the very best teachers, and was being, as they say, groomed for one of the top slots in the corporation.?Ac 22:3 I am verily a man which am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, yet brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, and was zealous toward God, as ye all are this day. Paul knew the law. Paul knew the Torah, the first five books of Moses, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. He most likely knew them by heart having memorized them. Paul kept the law! Keeping the law, and enforcing the law was the most important thing in the life of Saul of Tarsus. He thought this was how to please God. He was consumed with wiping out the church of the Lord's disciples, Peter, James, and the rest of the disciples of the Earthly Jesus. Which he viewed as heretics for claiming that Jesus Christ was the Messiah. He was traveling on the Damascus road like a mad bounty hunter on his way to find and round up these "outlaws" when the Lord appeared to him. Everything changed after this experience. The law was no longer the most important thing in Paul's life. The most important thing in Paul's life was now preaching the CROSS OF CHRIST! What is the most important thing in YOUR life?There is a reason Paul tells us to follow him.?1Co 4:16 Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.Paul is beseeching us, begging us to follow him! Why??Php 3:17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.Paul is begging us to follow him, and the others who are following him and be like they are. Following their example of making the cross of Jesus Christ the most important thing in our lives! One of the reasons I preach so much against the modern church today, with their water baptism, and Judeo Christian theology is because by not making the cross of Christ the most important thing, they have become centers of religious apostasy! They want you to "do things". They preach slick feel good, heartwarming self help messages from their pulpits that are designed to give you goose bumps on back of your neck and make you feel like you are close to God. Those goose bumps on your neck is not the Holy Spirit. It is your flesh being stimulated!?1Co 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.After Paul received the gospel from the Lord he no longer was a big shot Pharisee. He no longer relied on his own wisdom to speak to others.?1Co 2:1 And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.?1Co 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.When Paul preached the gospel, he preached the cross of Christ!Because this is what pleased God!The sacrifice of Jesus Christ, God the Son, that paid for the sins of no good sinners like us! This pleased God!?Isa 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. The church today is not preaching about what Christ did. They are preaching about what you can do! How good you can be. How righteous you can be. It's all about you, you, you.?1Co 1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world??1Co 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. God is happy when we tell somebody that Jesus Christ died on the cross for their sins, and rose from the dead for their justification. It makes Him happy! It pleases Him. because it draws a black line right through the wisdom of man! It cancels out the fancy self help nonsense.?Ga 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. Paul left off of his former self serving idolatrous ways and became consumed with one purpose, to preach the gospel that saves sinners! Paul carried inside himself, and preached, the most important message this world will ever hear. As important as it is, it is also a simple message that requires no college education to deliver or to understand.?Ro 12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. What about you? What do you talk to your family and friends about? Do you try to sound wise, and intelligent? Do you rely on your own ability to persuade someone? Are you preaching the simple message of the cross? Trusting in the power of God, then getting out of the way so the Holy Spirit can get to work on the sinners heart.?1Co 1:18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. Friends, you need to make a list of everyone you know and make sure that you have preached the simple message of the cross to all your family, all your friends, and everyone you come in contact with. Don't worry that they all reject it. That's got nothing to do with you. You are only delivering the message. God will take it from there! Is telling your loved ones, the people you care about, the simple message of the cross so that they can put their trust in Christ and be saved from spending eternity burning in Hell important to you? Is this the most important thing in your life? I hope it is.Time is short. Don't wait for somebody to die and then you have to feel the pain of regretting that you never shared the gospel with them.
