BOTH COVENANTS BELONG TO ISRAEL.The Old Covenant was between God and ISRAEL. At the second coming of Christ, God will make a New Covenant with the same people that He made the Old Covenant with i.e. the house of ISRAEL and house of JUDAH. I can prove it to you from the Bible."31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a NEW COVENANT with the house of ISRAEL, and with the house of JUDAH:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that i took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:" (Jeremiah 31:31-32 KJV)Writing to the HEBREWS (ISRAEL), the Hebrew writer reminds the Hebrews of this truth. He tells them that under the NEW COVENANT, the LAW will not be on tablets of stone, but will be put in their MINDS and written on their HEARTS."For this is the COVENANT that I will make with the house of ISRAEL after those days, saith the LORD; I will put my LAWS into their MIND, and WRITE them in their HEARTS: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:" (Hebrews 8:10 KJV)Because the LAWS of God will be put in their MINDS and written on their HEARTS, they will NOT even need TEACHERS. ALL shall know God!"And they shall NOT TEACH every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, KNOW the Lord: for ALL shall KNOW me, from the LEAST to the GREATEST." (Hebrews 8:11 KJV)The BODY of Christ is NOT under any COVENANT. We are under the DISPENSATION of GRACE. "If ye have heard of the DISPENSATION of the GRACE of God which is given me to you-ward:" (Ephesians 3:2 KJV)"For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are NOT under the LAW, but under GRACE." (Romans 6:14 KJV)Under GRACE, we need TEACHERS who know how to RIGHTLY DIVIDE the word of truth as per instruction 2 Timothy 2:15."These things command and TEACH." (1 Timothy 5:11 KJV)Both COVENANTS (old and new) BELONG to or PERTAIN to ISRAEL, not the BODY OF ISRAEL."Who are ISRAELITES; to whom PERTAINETH the adoption, and the glory, and the COVENANTS (plural), and the giving of the LAW, and the service of God, and the PROMISES;" (Romans 9:4 KJV)The verse above says the COVENANTS belong to ISRAEL! God has not completed the NEW COVENANT with ISRAEL because they rejected their MESSIAH. For this reason, God TEMPORARILY set ISRAEL aside. God is NOT dealing with the NATION of ISRAEL today. They are a FALLEN nation. They are BLIND and they will remain BLIND until God COMPLETES the GENTILE that He is doing in today's DISPENSATION OF GRACE."For I would not, brethren, that ye should be IGNORANT of this MYSTERY, lest ye should be wise in your own CONCEITS; that BLINDNESS in part is happened to ISRAEL, UNTIL (duration) the FULLNESS of the GENTILES be come in." (Romans 11;25 KJV)ISRAEL'S blindness will last up to the time the BODY of Christ will be caught away from the earth (rapture). Once the BODY of CHRIST is caught away, God will resume his dealings with the nation of ISRAEL. There will a Great Tribulation known as JACOB'S TROUBLE because the Antichrist will focus his attention on JACOB (ISRAEL). Jeremiah prophesied of this day."Alas! for that DAY is GREAT, so that NONE is like it: it is even the TIME of JACOB'S TROUBLE; but he shall be SAVED out of it." (Jeremiah 30:7 KJV)National ISRAEL'S sins will be taken away when God completes the NEW COVENANT with ISRAEL and all ISRAEL will be saved."26 And so all ISRAEL shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from JACOB (ISRAEL):27 For this is my COVENANT unto them (ISRAEL), when I shall take away their sins." (Romans 11:26-27 KJV)ISRAEL will receive GRACE at the SECOND COMING of Christ. When Peter writes to ISRAEL scattered abroad, he makes this point clear."Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and HOPE to the END for the GRACE that is to be brought unto you at the REVELATION of Christ;" (1 Peter 1:13 KJV)While national ISRAEL will receive GRACE at the second coming of Christ, we, as the BODY OF CHRIST have ALREADY RECEIVED GRACE. In fact, we are standing in GRACE."1 Therefore being justified by FAITH, we have PEACE with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:2 By whom also we have ACCESS by FAITH into this GRACE wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God." (Romans 5:1-2 KJV)National ISRAEL will receive ATONEMENT for their sins at the SECOND COMING of Christ. Peter, one of 12 apostles assigned to ISRAEL says while talking to ISRAEL."19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins MAY BE BLOTTED OUT, when the times of REFRESHING shall come from the presence of the Lord;20 And He SHALL SEND Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:" (Acts 3:19-20 KJV)As members of the BODY OF CHRIST, we have already received ATONEMENT for our sins."And not only so, but we also JOY in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have NOW RECEIVED the ATONEMENT. (Romans 5:11 KJV).National ISRAEL will have to CONFESS their sins for them to be forgiven.If we CONFESS our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 KJV). In our case as members of the BODY OF CHRIST, our sins HAVE ALREADY BEEN FORGIVEN. We have ALREADY BEEN CLEANSED from ALL unrighteousness. We are the righteousness of God. A person who has been cleansed from ALL unrighteousness does not have to be cleansed AGAIN. We became righteous by BELIEVING the GOSPEL, not by CONFESSING our sins."But to him that WORKETH NOT, but BELIEVETH on him that justifieth the ungodly, his FAITH is counted for RIGHTEOUSNESS. (Romans 4:5 KJV). We received forgiveness of sins on the day we BELIEVED the GOSPEL."And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake HATH FORGIVEN you." (Ephesians 4:32 KJV)"And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, HAVING FORGIVEN you ALL trespasses;" (Colossians 2:13 KJV)"Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ FORGAVE you, so also do ye."
