????Don’t tell me right division isn’t a salvation issue! ????In Acts 2 on Pentecost, Peter was asked a question after his sermon. The people asked him what they must do to be saved. Peter responded candidly:“...Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”Peter told them that water baptism in name of Jesus is for the remission of sin! What? Forgiveness comes through water? He says that receiving the Holy Ghost is conditional upon completing this JEWISH cleansing ritual when done in the name of Jesus. This is the process unto salvation according to Peter: Repent, perform, and then receive God’s Spirit. Does that sound like being saved by GRACE through FAITH ALONE and NOT of works to you? No. And the reason it doesn’t is because it’s NOT the Gospel Of Grace. And why didn’t Peter preach the Gospel Of Grace? BECAUSE JESUS HADN’T REVEALED HIS NEW INSTRUCTIONS YET. He revealed them to Paul AFTER Pentecost:“Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began” (Rom 16:25)Paul says that HIS gospel was kept secret since the world began. Why does he call it “his”? Because there was ANOTHER gospel that was being preached by a DIFFERENT person when he received his commission! If Paul received a special message to preach from Jesus, one that was kept secret and never given to anyone else, then why do you think Peter preached what Paul preached? Paul even says it again, here:“Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:” (Col 1:25-26)You see, God began *dispensing* salvation by grace through faith, and this message was given to Paul. He states this outright. He says he was made a minister according to the dispensation of God WHICH WAS GIVEN TO HIM (Paul), and that it had been HID before he received it. Don’t tell me right division isn’t a salvation issue. It most certainly CAN be one. Especially if you trust in Peter’s faith+works Gospel to be saved. Those instructions aren’t for us today. Paul says that Christ’s blood is applied to our debt account for the remission of sin. And that the Holy Spirit places your identity in Christ. Forever. The Gospel Jesus gave to Paul is what saves today. And it saves because you put all your faith in HIS completed work, and NOT your own work. Otherwise, Christ died IN VAIN if salvation could be obtained by a work of your own hands. So don’t tell me right division isn’t a salvation issue. If you think the Church the Body Of Christ started with the 12 apostles, then that means you’re mixing Gospels. Just because you don’t realize it doesn’t mean you’re not. If you believe that salvation is by grace through faith alone, then you’re saved. The next step is to acknowledge your error in how you approach and present God’s Word. Why? Because you’ll never be able to properly communicate and answer tough questions that unsaved people may ask who are wrestling with coming to saving faith. Not only can right division be a salvation issue for some, but it’s an evangelical issue for everyone. The Gospel Of Grace is how to get saved today. Believe in it, then be a workman by studying to get your doctrine right so you can edify the Body Of Christ. You never know who may need to hear it to get saved, or who may need to hear it who is saved but confused. God wants us all to come into full knowledge of truth. Knowledge starts by rightly dividing the Word. I love you all!
