9-27-19 "Ephesians 1"

Have you ever broken down Ephesians 1, chewed on its bite size Truths, digesting the great revelation contained within and allow it to fulfill your deepest desires? May I offer today, as that day?Paul addresses the faithful Church of Ephesus with these words3] All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. *This is not just a friendly letter to check in with the Church, but opening with praise to our Creator, Father of Jesus. Spiritual blessings are ours because of God[4] Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. *How rocked is your world, how wrecked is your soul, when you realize that you, sinful creation, were loved and wanted before all time? God sees beyond the dirt and grime to the eternal spirit within every person; like a diamond hidden beneath layers of hard, rocky surface, you shine in His eyes. He sees your potential, your perfection.[5] God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. *God was surrounded by His angels, His Son, Holy Spirit hovering near and yet He desired fellowship with US! Human DNA was polluted by sin, there was no permanent sacrifice on earth to be found. So He chose Jesus, His only Son, as the world's Answer[6] So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. [7] He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. [8] He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding.*Because of the Price Jesus chose to pay, in obedience to His Father, WE walk free. We receive all the benefits; no longer alienated from the Throne Room, but welcomed freely, walking in wisdom and the knowledge of His perfect will, kindness on our heads, mercy shown to our missteps. Doesn't seem fair does it? That's Grace[9] God has now revealed to us his mysterious will regarding Christ—which is to fulfill his own good plan. [10] And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth. [11] Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan.*If you were a prince or princess of an earthly kingdom, all that belonged to the King, would belong to you.You would never be in lack, all of your needs would be met. Lavish provisions would fall into your lap, just because of who you are, whose you are; you wouldn't have to earn them or strive for them. The wealth of the King would be passed onto you at birth, goodness, love and mercy following you every day of your life. As an heir of the kingdom, you would hold authority; when you spoke darkness cowered in fear, when you ruled with the King's covering, it was done, carried out.You ARE God's child! You are precious, valued, one of a kind. As your feet touch earth's soil, your spirit is seated with your Daddy in 'heavenly places'. You occupy earth's atmosphere, yet are a citizen of Heaven.When you walk in the authority of Christ, the devil trembles. When he knows that you know Whose you are, that nothing can be pulled over your eyes, he shrinks back in fear.
