When I say that, I truly mean, I lost myself for quite a bit. We "All" have had our hard times and fair share of pain in our lives. But, it's when you see the light at the end of the tunnel that truly wakes you up. Pain and anguish affects people in very different ways. Mine was depression, PTSD, my body not functioning properly, getting diagnosed with multiple things. Jobless, lost multiple friends etc. You start to lose the person you once were. I gained so much weight and didn't even realize it. Ice cream ended up being my BEST FRIEND! Mint chocolate chip to be exact! It wasn't until my own kids reminded me that I needed to WAKE UP! They needed and deserved a mom. Because I was and am a GREAT mom but I forgot even that. After my verbal @$!# to get up.... I did! I went and put my make-up on, and looked for a job. Within 1 day I was hired on the spot. I saw myself in the mirror and thought "Oh No, this will not do"! Life has changed since then. I have New Meaning, something to look forward to. Tried a new product because I saw a friend losing sooo much weight on it and thought, "What do I have to lose, besides weight"? Now, I'm down 69 lbs.!!!!! I was on 14 meds, including oxycodone and morphine (MS Contin). I was SICK OF IT. Now, I'm literally down to 2 meds, one for my grade 4 Arthritis and one for my intense heartburn (but cut that in half). Life is GREAT! I'm filled with love, family and new friends that surround me. Big Plus, I can wear Nike tights (Leggings) and look FABULOUS!!! 50 IS COMING SOON and I don't feel like it. God is good. If you're on you journey, don't ever give UP! Continue with your mental journey because that is what will pull you out of the state you're in. Sometimes its best to listen to your kids as well. You've Got This!!!!
