Praying for the Tinsley family from Oklahoma this afternoon ?? Bro. Bill went home to be with the Lord about 4 hours ago & is enjoying his heavenly reward! He was a MIGHTY man of God, a gentleman, & a peacemaker. In the words of his daughter, Kathy Tinsley Moore:"Daddy didn't hold us kids on his lap as much as he held us on his knees! He couldn't help me one minute with my algebra, but he spent hours teaching me the bible. He never took me to Sea World or Disney Land but he sacrificed to take me to campmeetings and the mission field. He had very little to give in the way of an weekly allowances but he made ways for me to 'give' to the ministry...dusting the pews, sweeping out Sunday School rooms, moping the church bathrooms. Dad drove thousands of miles, spent hundreds of dollar just so he could introduce me to American hero's like Buster Wilson, Claude Ely, Vince Wison, and Wallace Timmons. Dad is a Christian first and a daddy second. And if I have learnt anything from my dad it's this: "Fear God! Have your heart fixed! Jesus loves and cares! Jesus can come at anytime.We have an advocate with Father. Thru storms of life, you better pray til God gives me a promise from His word and then hang on to it for dear life." Another words, "To be determined, that no matter what happens in life, simply cling to God!!!"Daddy, I'm proud of you. Thank you for all the prayers, talks, discipline, love, teaching and training you put into me. It's because of the nurturing and guidance you gave me that I'm the strong woman I am today. I couldn't have made it without you and the Lord! I love and respect you for who you are! Your daughter, Kathy".
