Brotherhood Of Christian Law Enforcement OfficersGood Morning My L.E.O Family In most people - it’s a natural instinct to process what we may be going through - good and bad - out loud. If something is heavy on our hearts - we immediately turn to a listening ear to vent or cry. BUT GOD wants us to completely rely on Him in this. We need to pray about more than we talk about it !We need to go to the throne - before we go to the phone !We need to keep our tears and our own listening ears tuned to Him. Philippians 4:6 tells us,“do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to GOD.”Why ? Because His ways are ALWAYS better than our ways AND He is able to do abundantly more than we can ask - dream or imagine. I’m not cutting out the value of a good GODly friend to talk to - but stop complaining and venting more about our problem to others- rather than lifting it up in prayer to GOD. Make GOD Number 1 On Your Contact List !Remember - prayer changes everything !Our GOD Is A Mighty GOD and although most of the time the war on the other end of the phone can only listen - Your GOD can actually fix the problem !In turn - next time a friend comes to you with a problem- ask if you can pray with them. Remember what Matthew 18:20 says,“For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst.”Bring the author and perfecter of our faith into the conversation. Those who put everything in GOD’s hands - will eventually see GOD’s hands in everything !Now that’s being a real friend !Have a great day and always take advantage of every opportunity that allows others to hear- see and feel the love of GOD through you.
