Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot announced a new 30-day stay-at-home advisory as COVID-19 cases have escalated in the city and the state of Illinois. Effective Monday, private gatherings are restricted to 10 people. Mayor Lightfoot has urged everyone to cancel all traditional Thanksgiving plans, stop having guests over who do not live in the home, and avoid non-essential out-of-state travel.
