House Republicans have addressed Facebook’s Oversight Board, accusing it of unfair political manipulation and asking for Trump’s ban to be lifted specifically.
The Oversight Board which has 20 world-wide members, were addres by Rep. Jim Jordan, Ken Buck and Darrell Issa. “We remain concerned that the de-platforming standards are not applied in a fair and neutral manner," the letter stated.
The letter claimed there was unfair censorship, including that Facebook prevented a damaging New York Post story regarding Hunter Biden from being shared and that a Facebook investigation led by former Sen. Jon Kyl found numerous examples of bias against conservative viewpoints.

The seven GOP senators who joined with all Democrats in finding Trump guilty were: Sens. Richard Burr of North Carolina, Bill Cassidy of Louisiana, Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Mitt Romney of Utah, Ben Sasse of Nebraska, and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania.
The Louisiana GOP said Saturday that it unanimously voted to censure Cassidy, and the Pennsylvania GOP criticized Toomey as well saying “"This post-presidency impeachment proceeding was an unconstitutional theft of time and energy that did absolutely nothing to unify or help the American people," PAGOP Chairman Lawrence Tabas said in a statement. "I share the disappointment of many of our grassroots leaders and volunteers over Senator Toomey's vote today. The vote to acquit was the constitutionally correct outcome."
In addition to these GOP backlashes, both Burr and Toomey announced they will not be running for re-election in 2022.
